Growing up, I feel like I have had some people to look up to, but for the most part, navigating friendships, athletics, school, and career has been my own journey to find my way through, and I think I set a nice bar for the things that I have been able to accomplish. Now my sister following seven years behind me has had quite the impressive story for herself, but to me, always felt like some fairy dust trying to fill my shoes. Yes, I am so proud of her, but no, I never felt threatened that my spot as coolest Oehme sibling would be threatened. That is until yesterday. I've done a fair amount of gym hopping over the past couple of months as a person who lives in his car, but the gym I hit today I feel like changed everything about the slump I have been in recently. I was a little anxious to walk in because I've never been there before (I'm working on that about me) but also google told me it was closed on Sunday and they didn't even have a parking lot. I don't know. I think some version of me wouldn't have gone over there. But I am not trying to be that version of me anymore.
